Urgently, how to create a MARTE model [message #1863722] Fri, 23 February 2024 03:31 Go to next message

How can I ask how to create a MARTE model using Papyrus, what is the process and are there any guides or videos available?

MARTE can be installed via the update site [1]. Although old, the static profile itself works with current Papyrus. Install the "MARTE main" feature. However, you don't get a customized palette, i.e. you need to apply the profile and stereotypes manually (use the "plugin" symbol in the profile tab of the property view to apply a registered profile)

I can't find the HW_Device related stereotype in MARTE_Library in the papyrus software. What should I do?

The HwDevice stereotype (no underscore) is part of the MARTE HRM profile, more specifically the HwLogical sub-profile. The MARTE library does not contain stereotypes, but other elements that are used in MARTE specifications, for instance standard datatypes and typical measurement units.

When you apply the MARTE profile (profile tab, apply registered profile), select the required sub-profile(s) in a second step.

index.php/fa/44077/0/But why can I only create these two types of diagrams in MARTE Profile?

You opened the profile itself. A "standard" MARTE user would not do that, but apply the profile to his system or application model instead

When a UML profile is opened, the "profile" architectural context is used. The main task is to define stereotypes and/or sub-profiles for which the two diagrams are sufficient.

Dear Ansgar Radermacher:
Could you please let me know if there is an example of embedded project modelling (modelling diagram) using MARTE for reference. I am very new in marte use. Special thanks to you.

I'm saving and suddenly this error is reported and I can't save properly, why is that?

Urgent question! I want to configure GaExecHost for this node, but it doesn't show up in "Applicable Stereotypes". I have imported the MARTE library

You should perhaps invest some time on using UML profiles in general. In your example, you imported MARTE sub-profiles instead of applying them (as already mentioned several times). A profile can be applied to a UML package (e.g. your root model). Use the button "apply registered profile" in the profile tab, see tooltip in the screenshot.

I've done that for the attached model.
Concerning other examples, MARTE is a rather big toolbox and it really depends what you want to do with it.

Concerning the error, you mentioned in a previous post, there is not enough information to reproduce it (maybe you deleted or renamed resources outside of Eclipse?)

Dear Ansgar Radermacher
After reading the 80 topics about "MARTE" on the forum, I also discovered and learned about this question. However, I am still very grateful that you have answered so many of my questions, and I will continue to learn how to use Papyrus.
Thank you very much!

Dear Ansgar Radermacher:
Is it possible to create a new object diagram in papyrus in uml view?
And can you explain why papyrus don't provide object diagrams if indeed there are no object diagrams? (uml2.5 has 13 views, including object diagrams)

I can't find it, I hope you can help, thanks!

There is no separate object diagram in Papyrus. You can create instance-specifications in the normal class diagram.

In the future, don't reply with an unrelated question to an existing thread, start a new topic instead.
