Error installing "Marketplace Client" on "Eclipse Platform" [message #1859283] Fri, 26 May 2023 06:48 Go to next message

I have used the "Eclipse Installer" to install the "Eclipse Platform" on Windows drive D: The (.p4) bundle pool is on drive D: as well.

Now I want to install the "Marketplace Client". So I loaded Eclipse. In the Menu bar I selected the Help->Install New Software. The "Install" dialog opens. I select the drop-down beside the field labeled "Work with" and select "--All available sites--". A list of categories that contain items that can individually be installed appears. I open the group "General of the Purpose Tools". A list of items that can be installed from that category appears. I select "Marketplace Client" and click "Next". After a brief period, a message appears in the "Details" area.

``` The message in the details area
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Missing requirement: JustJ Adoptium OpenJDK Hotspot JRE Complete 17.0.7.v20230425-1502 (org.eclipse.justj.openjdk.hotspot.jre.full.feature.group 17.0.7.v20230425-1502)
I tried that just and it worked for me. I must be missing some detail. With Oomph you can define your own product installing only and exactly the things you choose...
