Looks like it went offline sometime last week.

In particular we use the JavaHL 1.9 connector.

The 4.8 install instructions references a new site: https://osspit.org/eclipse/subversive-connectors/ . But it only has the SVNKit 1.10 connector.

I also submitted a bug for this.

That worked. Thanks.

I don't know anyone at Polarion and thus cannot influence their actions.

All we have, are the sources (see developer guide) and updated artifacts which only provide the SVNKit connector (see installation instructions). The JavaHL connector was dropped in version 4.8.0 in favour of SVNKit:

https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/technology.subversive/releases/4.8.0/plan
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=578854

Can't you switch to the SVNKit connector?

The issue is that SVNKit seems to conflict with Tortoise a lot more and so you can't use both it and Eclipse at the same time. That works fine with JavaHL.

Also SVNKit seems to not use the user home subversion config/auth files.

I did some testing and switching SVN Connectors to SVNKit from JavaHL causes it to immediately lock all the working copy DBs regardless of if it is performing any SVN actions or not. JavaHL only grabs a lock when it is actively doing something like updating.

Nicolas, is there any plan to address those shortcomings with the SVNKit connector? We can't switch to them as they currently stand without creating workflow problems around authentication and using other SVN tools concurrently with Eclipse.

Sorry, I lost track of this discussion.

I need more information on this because I cannot imagine the problem right now. Best would be a ticket on GitLab where you describe the problem a little bit more in detail: https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipse/subversive/subversive/-/issues

I just reported an issue that I ran into: I used the svn command-line client once for updating or committing on the project and since then I'm unable to commit using Subversive: https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipse/subversive/subversive/-/issues/222

If it is related to the shortcomings you mentioned, feel free to add further details/outcomes. If I forgot something, let me know or file a ticket, please.

P. S. Right now, I don't know how long it will take to resolve these issues. I have several other tasks on my list which are hindering me to take care of this issue immediately.

No problem, thank you for your help. I've added two tickets to describe the primary issues with the SVNKit connector.
