Images missing in Eclipse IDE [message #1855841]

Eclipse usually only displays images with an integer scaling (1x, 2x)
I added the following property to my INI-file to achieve an 1.25x scaling

swt.autoScale=125

The result however looks jagged (as expected), yet I found this property to face the problem

swt.autoScale.method=smooth

But now my Eclipse doesn't display any images any more.
Does anyone know anything about those properties? Is this a bug? Is there any other way to achieve a proper non-integer scaling?
Any help is appreciated!
