Importing Enterprise Architect XMI files into Eclipse Papyrus is hard.
While Papyrus strictly follows the UML specification, EA follows the UML spec so far it also is something with boxes and arrows. Sparx EA uses a proprietary set of meta-classes with proprietary sets of attributes.
In general migrating from EA to Papyrus requires a custom set of transformation rules.
Another issue is that the model checker of EA, despite the fact it burn a lot of cpu cycles actually does IMHO no useful checks. I did a test with some 40 UML rule violations non was found by EA's model check.
Given that EA "model" tend to be highly inconsistent.
All in all I strongly advise either to stay with EA or if one wants to go model driven migrate by hand based on a modeling guide and perform a model check after every chunk migrated.
