Question about loss of traceability in Acceleo [message #1852051] Wed, 27 April 2022 13:42 Go to next message

Hello all,

I've been thinking about adding traceability features to the Epsilon M2T languages (knowing which bit of the template produced which bit of text, based on which parts of the model), and I remembered reading papers on Acceleo's traceability. However, it appears this functionality was dropped a few years ago:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=329447

Poking around the Git history and Bugzilla did not reveal much about the reasons - was it just hard to maintain, or were there any other reasons?

Kind regards,
Antonio

Hi Ed,

Thank you :-). I had run into that thread before, but I was wondering if the Acceleo developers still monitored this forum. It looks like that's not the case?

Kind regards,
Antonio

Hi Antonio

I endeavor to reply within a day or two if I have something positive to contribute, otherwise I may wait a week before providing a tentative suggestion.

Laurent Goubert seems to monitor the forum sporadically but often gives a few improved answers all in one go.
