Eclipse 2019-12 - no crosscompile option ? [message #1844571] Thu, 16 September 2021 13:12 Go to next message

I recall posting a problem when Eclipse will only (continually ) "build" and not "run" - long time ago...
The answer was to say at least "speculative" and eventually the "problem " went away.
However , it seems to be back - my 2021-06 will only " build" and not "run".
And on top of this - the "build" message say something to the effect - "nothing to be done ...".

So I went back to 2019-12 and I am unable to make "cross complied " project - there in
NO option to do so.

I have NEVER experienced such "missing crosscompile option " - ever since I started using Eclipse.

I am asking -
what is missing in my otherwise OK 2019-12?

The 2019-12 Eclipse resides in same OS as 2021 so where did my crosscompile option went ?

I like to make sure the problem with 2021-06 gets resolved using 2019--12 , but I need to find out HOW to implement crosscompile SAFELY , without screwing something else.

Could you clarify which language and tool you are using? My guess is C/C++...

I believe you are aware that there is a CDT forum which is the best place to ask questions specifically about C/C++

Also note that nothing ever changes for older releases. Only the 2021-09 release will fix/change something, so best you install that and report problems for that, ideally with steps that some other human being can follow to reproduce the problem you observe.
