When I try to use any kind of fan-out inside composite blocks, the second line seems to not be realized (see picture no-fan-out1.png and no-fan-out2.png, block interface in block-interface.png). I would expect that the real value of QI could be distributed to F_MUL3 and F_MUL4 as well. This was the case in the version 1.11.3 with which we have worked previously. Using fan-outs in the regular system (not in composite blocks) still seems to work fine (see fan-out-working.png).

Therefore, I want to ask whether I my structure in the composite block is wrong or this is a bug in the current 4diac 1.13.0 version.

Hi,

unfortunately it seems that we have a bug in the new code exporter used in 4diac IDE 1.13.0. This was already pointed out in this [1] forum post. However we where to busy and hand yet time to fix it. In order to support us it would be great if you could file a bug in our Bugzilla. I hope to have a look on it in the next days.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=563528 seems to already address this issue, too. Should I create a new Bug report anyway?

Thanks for pointing that out. I now remember that I thought I fixed that already. I will reopen the bug and look into it. I hope it is only a small issue. As workaround for you, you could try typed or untyped subapplications. These you don't have to compile.

I found some time today to look into the problem. And I have to apologize for a very dumb copy paste error. In this commit [1] it should be fixed. Happy for any feedback.

Will the link at https://www.eclipse.org/4diac/en_dow.php give me the updated 4diac IDE as soon as the change has been agreed?

The download page will point to the 1.13.1 maintenance release as soon as we complete it. However you do not need to download a new package as 4diac IDE will inform you automatically about new versions and ask if you want to update to them. If you want to be on cutting edge 4diac IDE versions you can also try to change the update to the nightly build or milestone build versions. You can do that by going under Window->Preferences-> Install/Update -> Available Software Sites and add there:
- https://download.eclipse.org/4diac/updates/milestone/
- https://download.eclipse.org/4diac/updates/nightly/

But please be warned that both are based on our current development branch.
