Problem starting debugger on new eclipse install [message #1835588] Mon, 07 December 2020 13:01
Eclipse UserFriend
I've been running eclipse for a while now, and recently had to do a resintall due to some conflicts with another program. Now, when I try to debug, I get an error message

'Launching New_configuration' has encounted a problem. Error in services launch sequence

with details

Error in services launch sequence
Interpreter `mi2' unrecognized.

I believe this has to do with my gdb install, though I haven't changed anything on that end since I was successfully using my old eclipse to debug.

Version info -
eclipse: 2020-09 (4.17.0)
gdb: 7.12.1

I can successfully start gdb from command line, including with '-i mi2' option specified, so I'm not sure what the issue is. I can try to provide more details on the issue if requested.
