Different indentation width per file [message #1834589] Thu, 12 November 2020 23:14

I'm working on a codebase that has a git submodule maintained by somebody else with a different syntax format (eg. uses indentation of 2 spaces instead of my project's 4). If I need to make fixes and enhancements to the submodule, it's difficult to maintain its syntax formatting because of my preferences.

Is it possible to set syntax formatting rules on a per file basis? Or is there a runtime preference for each open editor like VS Code handles this?
