Multiline String in Stereotype [message #1833102] Fri, 02 October 2020 06:04 Go to next message

Hi all,

for a project I would like to use multiline String as a member in a Stereotype.
Is there a way to do this?
Until know I didn't find a matching datatype I could use for that.

My temporary solution is to use a list of Strings but this is quite ugly and annoying to work with.
And using a simple String is not an option as the content would be unreadable

Thanks for your help

Hi Christoph,
your are mixing semantic aspect and graphical aspect. The type "MultiString" doesn't exist, you need to use String.
For the edition, the Papyrus properties view already provide a "multiline" editor (where carriage return is not implemented).
The Stereotype compartment on available on Classes (and others) in Diagrams allows to display big string on multiline automatically.

please, see snapshot in attachment
