I've installed "Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers" 2020-06. From ticket https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=564496 I've understood, that the standalone JavaScript Editor is not provided anymore.

Instead, JavaScript files are edited with the "Generic Editor" provided by the WildWebDeveloper-Features. The editor works fine (contentent assist, etc.), but where are the preferences for formatting and syntax highlighting of JavaScript files?

The settings in the next screenshot apply only to JavaScript code in HTML files. I need such kind of settings also for plain JavaScript files to fufill the JavaScript code guidelines in my project.

Preferences -> Web -> HTML Files -> Client-side JavaScript -> Code Style

You'll have to open a feature request at https://github.com/eclipse/wildwebdeveloper/issues .
