In Eclipse IDE, going to

"package explorer" -> "maven dependency"

and listing the packages.

They are colored green and blue. What does this mean?

Hi,

Are you talking about the JARs displayed under the Maven Dependencies node which is located under each Maven project in the Package Explorer? I have never seen such colors but some JARs are grayed out, which indicate that the corresponding dependencies have the test scope [1].

You may want to contact users of the M2E plug-in (which provides the Maven integration) thanks to the dedicated mailing-list [2]: you'll more likely to have answers.

Normally, I expect that something like this is described in the documentation. But I cannot find this in https://www.eclipse.org/m2e/documentation/m2e-documentation.html.
