Any particular reason there is no pre-built FORTE since version 1.8.4?

I would say the main reason is that we switched over to a new build infrastructure at Eclipse Foundation. There we are currently only one FORTE version with tests on a Linux system and we still have to learn how to build and package builds for different targets and different configurations.
