Is it possible to remote debug Javascript connecting to Firefox remote debugger ?

I've found several tutorial online pointing to crossfire firebug plugin, but with latest version of Firefox a new version of Firebug has been embedded, so is it possible to connect to connect to the new firebug plugin ?

If not possible with Firefox, is it possible with chrome ?
