How to build and run the papyrus source code? [message #1754506] Sun, 19 February 2017 03:41 Go to next message

I downloaded the papyrus source code and imported it into eclipse-committers (installed through the eclipse installer), but I can't run it as an eclipse application. Can anyone teach me how to do it? A million and trillion thanks!

Hi,

if you want to compile Papyrus, you can clone the git repository and run "mvn install" inside.
However, in most cases, you are rather interested in building only a small subset of plugins (e.g. for debugging purposes) by importing these into your workspace. In this case, you must already have Papyrus installed so that dependencies to plugins that are not in your workspace can be found. You can then run Papyrus in a 2nd instance.
