I have a generic model (meta-meta model) whose representation looks like this:

<node name="type1" />
<node name="type2" />

How can I tell EMF Compare to compare the node by their tag name and the attribute "name"?

Hi,

do you want to compare them using the IDE or programmatically using EMF Compare's API?

If you want to compare the models from within your IDE, please refer to this section in the user guide.
In case you'd like to use the API, please refer to this section in the developer guide.
