Hi,

just a quick question. Is it possible to generate the syntax graph PNG file during an ANT-build of our xtext model/plugin?

Thanks

Hi

The syntax graphs are very pretty and so I used them for OCL:

http://help.eclipse.org/neon/topic/org.eclipse.ocl.doc/help/OCLinEcore.html?cp=56_1_2

However:

a) a single graph is unhelpful, you need to intersperse editorial content (which could be auto-derived from *.xtext comments).

b) you need hyper-links between the boxes

c) you need auto-generation

Currently the lack of auto-generation and the pain of manually managing numerous *.png files means that the OCL documentation has gone stale.

Unless you are going to develop the automation, I recommend you restrict your use of the diagrams to your own personal development use.

One day, and my to-do stack is large, I'll resolve the auto-generation. If you'd like to make progress sooner, please let me know.

Regards

Ed Willink
