What actions cause switch of line ending style? [message #1745533]

Hi,

I have git.core.autocrlf=false, and my new text file delimiter is set to windows style. In my git clone, some files have unix line endings. It now sometimes happens that I edit such a file in eclipse (with the java editor) and in some of these cases, _something_ changes the line endings style of the file to windows style. Does anyone have a clue which Eclipse/Java/Git operations might be so evil to do that?
