Eclipse freezes or hangs on save [message #1732382]

Eclipse User

I am using Ubuntu 15.4 and Eclipse Mars 4.2. When I have created a new simple Hello World C++ example. When I hit "save" botton. I get the spinning "Hour glass" program running symbol and the eclipse program never return to allow new interaction.
What do I do to investigate and correct this problem?
