Folks;
until recently I have been able to install packages using the Eclipse
(Callisto) Update feature, but this by now doesn't seem to work
anymore: Searching for updates each and every time ends up with an
Update Manager error dialog popping up (which I can only dismiss by
closing the software installation list, or which I can leave open in
order to make Eclipse completely lock up trying to install any
software).
Here's what workspace/.metadata/.log thinks about this:
[snip]
!ENTRY org.eclipse.core.jobs 4 2 2006-09-28 15:35:47.080
!MESSAGE An internal error occurred during: "Update Manager".
!STACK 0
java.lang.NullPointerException

org.eclipse.update.internal.search.SiteSearchCategory$Query. run(SiteSearchCategory.java:90)

org.eclipse.update.search.UpdateSearchRequest.searchOneSite( UpdateSearchRequest.java:502)

at org.eclipse.update.ui.UpdateJob.run(UpdateJob.java:170) at
org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:58)
[snip]
What's happening here? Hints, anyone?
Thanks in advance and bye,
Kris
