Is there any method to update the Palette (to refresh the Palette's elements of a diagram representation) directly from source code?

automatically), you can take a look on the
org.eclipse.sirius.diagram.ui.tools.api.graphical.edit.palette.PaletteManager.update(Diagram,
boolean). If you want to add new elements programmatically, that will be
a problem since at the next automatic refresh, your elements will disappear.
