advanced.syncDefault is set to true by default. When accessing the infocenter for the first time (or after clearing the cookies), the button is highlighted, as expected. However, the synching between navigation and content does not work until the "Link with Contents" button is explicitly clicked. After clicking, the button is still highlighted, so now synching is really turned on.

Is that a bug?

I thought we might have some setup problem, but I see the same behavior on help.eclipse.org, and I find it really confusing.
