Hi ame

Are your sure all the CDT plugins are available in the eclipse/plugins
directory.
Make sure that the un-tar has been finished properly without any errors.

Start eclipse with -clean option.

/eclipse -clean

Try this.

"How do I download the CDT?"
but be aware that the faq is for cdt 2.x!
the url for cdt 3.0.2 and eclipse 3.1.2 is
http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/eclipse3.1
