Hi,

We are working on artop based application development. We have recently taken ARText, which is build based on xpand + artop. Since xpand is absolette, we would like to migrate to xtend and unfortunately, there is no such artop sdk available with xtend combination at artop site.

1) Is there any plans to release artop + xtend combination in near future.

2) Also, at broader view, could you please guide me on how to configure a demonstrator with xtend + artop.

These questions you should rather ask ARTOP specialists.
Xpand is not completely obsolete, it is still in maintenance. But right, I'd also opt for Xtend for new projects. Migration from Xpand to Xtend is pretty straight forward, Xtend has taken many concepts from Xpand.
ARTOP is mainly driven by the automotive industry. If there is a need to provide an Xtend based SDK, there must be some pushing and budget from there to drive such a project. Anyway, you could start on your own without waiting for that someone provides it for you. With ARText you will already have Xtend installed in your package, so just do it.

ARText is coming with only xpand and xtend1(.ext).

However, in my problem statement i am referring to xtend2 (.xtend). Reason is, xtend2 works closely with java/eclipse and that is the reason i have decided to go with it.

Please let me know if i have any gaps in understanding.
