Jython script engine not working [message #1690044]

I am unable to run EASE script implemented in python. Right clicking a .py file and clicking "run as EASE script" does nothing. Also, in the Script Shell, when I change the script engine to "python(Jython)", it waits forever (does not accept any input).
Am I missing something?

Note that Javascript engine is working fine.
