Search function in reportdesign perspective does not work? [message #162302]

Hello,

My configuration:
Java 1.4.2_06
Eclipse 3.1.1
BIRT 2.0.0

I have trouble with the search function inside the BIRT reportdesign
perspective.
I clicked the search icon in the toolbar (see mark 1 in the attached
birt.jpg).
I entered 'property' as word I wanted to find and clicked OK to start the
search.
You can see 132 matches (mark 2 in attached birt.jpg).
But I cannot access theese matches. I miss also a + character (mark 3 in
attached birt.jpg) to collapse all matches.
Also the up and down arrow (mark 4 in attached birt.jpg) do not work!

So 132 matches, but how can I go to the matching row where the matches are
found?

Any idea what I do wrong?

Sorry but your quetion is quite hard. Why do you need this?
Can avoid it?

Hello Isellam,

Sometimes it is easirer/quicker to find and modify properties/queries etc.
directly in the reports XML file instead walking through several
wizard-windows and property windows inside the wizard. But if the search
function does not work it is very difficult to find a specific part inside
the huge XML (*.rptdesign) file.

Any idea?
