using xsd and xml file in ODA XML data source and data sets possible problem [message #158474] Thu, 04 May 2006 18:39

I'm ran into a problem using xml oda driver and trying to use a xsd and
an xml file specified in my data source.

I'm using the birt-report-designer-all-in-one-2.1RC2.zip

and trying to create reports based off of schema.

at the moment, if I use a schema my datasets don't evaluate to anything
if I create my data sets with out using an xsd file...then my data sets
work.

This is really weird.

Heres an example

so if I create a datasset using a datasource that also has an xsd file I
might start with a root of

/bob

for my data set. Now if I remove the schema and just specify a data
source using a .xml file and I try to create the same data set I get

/names:bobLibrary/bob

and my data set evaluates.

I know this is probably vague, just wondering if anyone can shed any
light here.

is xsd support broke at the moment for the xml oda driver?

thanks for any knowledge here.
