GMF diagram and UI Form in the same MultiPageEditor [message #158107] Thu, 01 November 2007 12:28

We have a requirement to provide a multi page editor for a XML
configuration file. Part of the XML configuration file calls for a diagram
editor while the rest would better be edited in an UI Form based editor.
The current version of WTP provides a faces-config editor which is very
similar to ours in terms of the requirement. However, the faces-config
editor chose to use two ecore models, one is almost like a super set of
the other (not exactly since it has to take layout stuff into account).
The first ecore model serves as the model to the UI Form page while the
second one serves as the model to a GEF editor page. It then provides very
complex synchronization between the models and the editor pages. I am
thinking there got to be a better way of doing it. Has anyone done this
before? Can you point me to some examples or resources? Thanks a lot.
