Having a diagram generated with GMF, I was interested to view the super =
class of the generated DiagramEditor. That is the class=20
org.eclipse.gmf.runtime.diagram.ui.resources.editor.parts.Di agramDocument=
Editor

Normally I can open the source with F3, but this one did not open, =
instead I got a binary view, and a message at the top:
'The JAR of this class file belongs to container 'Plug-in dependencies' =
which does not allow modifications to source attachments on its =
entries'.

That's fine with me but I just want to view the source. Anyone a hint =
what to do? I have the Europe RCP fall edition (3.3.1) with EMF, GEF, =
GMF and also the webtools, datatools en UML plugins. I can open sources =
from other plugins (e.g. emf.core) but not anyone from gmf.runtime. =
Still, the source attachments of the gmf runtime jars seems to have a =
valid value.

Anyone an idea?

Well, while composing the question I was also running the software =
update. What came out was an RCP patch 3.3.1 =
(org.eclipse.rcp.patch1_3.3.1.v20071002_331). After installation and a =
restart the problem was solved, amazingly enough.=20
