 Hi,

Following the screencast "Using data set parameters and report
parameters." in the BIRT tutorial section I came across a weird effect.

The report without parameters has a correct list of countries, states and
cities, but after I put in the parameter on country, the shown result
becomes corrupt. The countries are ok (and respect the parameterising), as
are the states. The column with the cities is plain wrong; all records
show the city belonging to the first record.

 Example (paramter is 'A%'):

 COUNTRY STATE CITY
 Australia NSW Chatswood
 Australia NSW Chatswood
 Australia Queensland Chatswood
 Australia Victoria Chatswood
 Australia Victoria Chatswood
 Austria Chatswood
 Austria Chatswood

Does anyone have an idea what could be going wrong?

 regards,
 Thomas

OK. Tried again and this time I started out with only the country and city
columns; first without params, which worked, and then with params, which
worked too. Afterwards I added the state and now the entire thing works.

I can't find a difference between the two reports, but one works and the
 other doesn't ?:( Totally weird.
