Rename project directory? [message #147675] Mon, 08 March 2004 02:04 Go to next message

Is there a way to rename the directory a project has been put into?

I have a project I pulled from CVS so it has all the connections to that
set up. However the people who set it up named the project one thing and
the directory name they assumed is another (weird?) so I have this huge
project to try an get going, and I am off-line from CVS now so I cannot
just pull it down again.

If I export and import to a different name I will disconnect from CVS and
when I ma back on line I will have problems.

Any recommendations for the best way to proceed? If I can change the dir
name and leave the project 'connected' the the CVS repository that will be
great.

Thanks
Roger

Ususally (at least in 3.x) there's a rename operation in the refactoring
menu for that sole purpose.

"Rename" will rename the project itself, not the folder it resides in.
"Move" will do this. (In the Package Explorer it can be found in the
Refactor Submenu.)

Take care, Ilja
