3.0M7 cvs passwords lost [message #146412] Sun, 29 February 2004 19:58 Go to next message

If I switch from 3.0M6 to M7, attempts to perform extssh cvs operations
suddenly start prompting me for a password (message is "Authentication
error: Invalid username, password, host or repository"). If I switch
back to M6 these operations work fine with no password requested. I
don't know if the operations work correctly M7 as I am not 100% certain
that I have entered the correct cvs password.

The same problem occurs for me with the latest integration build -
I20040226.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there perhaps a workaround?

Scott

Yep. In my case, re-typing the password solved the problem.

In that case I will seek to confirm or reset my cvs password.

Thanks,

Scott

I believe that in M6 the passwords/keyring were stored in the workspace.
In M7 they are stored in the instance data/configuration area. Part of
the work to decouple the workspace from the user preferences.
