I'm probably doing something dumb here, but I'm just trying to do an
anonymous checkout of /cvsroot/eclipse. I'm using wincvs, on WinXP.

I have a CVSROOT value of
":pserver;username=anonymous;password=david.karr@wamu.net;hostname=dev.eclipse.org;port=80:/cvsroot/eclipse"

This fails with:

cvs [checkout aborted]: unrecognized auth response from dev.eclipse.org:
HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
