Hello all,

my evaluation of RAP 2.3 is stuck, because of the usage of
"//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/swfobject/2.2/swfobject.js"
as a script in generated html.

I hope I was getting something wrong because I could hardly believe this is the way RAP applications are regularly running.

The problem is, I was evaluating the UI framework for a company's intranet, i.e. people have no access to the internet. I cannot change this.

Does anybody know a possibility to deploy RAP applications into such a closed environment?
By the way, I don't think it's good if any access to a RAP application calls a URL residing at google's side.
I cannot see any advantage.

What's if the servers are down or over-frequented? Why should my local webapp wait for google to deliver that jscript? Is it a license issue?
Why the heck is it neccessary for eclipse to rely on google code?

I am buzzed on that :-/
While we already have a nice equinox application running, it would be so nice to create the UI with RAP.

Hi,
the mentioned URL is *only* used in Workbench Demo
(org.eclipse.rap.demo.resources.ExternalJsResource class). If you have
problem with it, remove it from "org.eclipse.rap.ui.resources" extension.

Thank you so much - that was it.

While the demo works without it, I am wondering for what it has been used for?

Good to know that RAP works without any evil ehm google code Smile

It looks a bit different now, but we can live with that.

Hi,
it is a test (demo) code to demonstrate that RAP could deal with
external resources (javascript files).
