I want to create an output folder outside of my Eclipse project, but don't
seem able to do this. There is no help on this topic, either. Can
someone help?
Thanks,
Joy

Read/search about "linked" resources.

You need to create a "linked" folder and then set that as your output
location. From the help pages:
"Linked resources are files and folders that are stored in locations in
the file system outside of the project's location."

Search Eclipse Help for "linked" and you'll see a page on Creating
Linked Resources that shows you how.
