Unable to create view point selection [message #1410287]

Hi All,

I have some questions,

Firstly does sirius support xtext integration?

Secondly I have an existing ecore but dont have editor and edit plugins. Does sirius can be used to create one.

Thirdly : I followed the entire tutorial step by step but when tried to add viewpoint Selection. The dialog was empty.

I also downloaded the examples from sirius site. even those does not work

Yes, there are other posts on this forum about that ([1] for example).

Not really. Sirius allows you to create a Viewpoint Specification
Project that contains all is needed to generate editor and edit plugins.
But it is always EMF (with genmodel file) that generates the editor and
edit plugin.

I do not have enough information to help you. If the viewpoint selection
dialog is empty, you have probably no file with the expected extension
(defined in your odeisgn file) in your modeling project.

Same Problem to me

eclipse-luna with sirius (Eclipse Modelling Project) V 1.0.0.201406040902

if i create new /Sirius/ModelingProject
under Modelling View
empty project with:
- ProjectDependencies
- representations.aird

is created,
if i right click project /ViewPoints Selection
it's always empty !

i have one small testproject where this was working, but i don't know how i can configure it to get it running

perhaps somebody can help me

Hi Horst,

the Viewpoints shown in the Viewpoint Selection dialog are computed from
all the model files located under the modeling Project. For instance, if
you have an ecore file then the dialog will show all Viewpoints that are
defined on ecore models.

So if you do not have any model file in your Modeling Project, no
Viewpoint will be displayed.

Hi,

Try this tutorial :

It is in french.

You have only to change on page 11 the Extension File Name ("odesign") by "airports" which is the extension name of the model you want to display.

Hi ,
I am experiencing the same problem with sirius. When i open the viewpoint selection i have an empty list. I followed two tutorials , one in developpez.com and the other in eclipse website. but i can't achieve good results Sad

!

Try adding the ecore model under the Project Dependencies > Add model
