Can't diff between versions in branch [message #13877]

I am getting an error when I try to diff between two different versions
within a branch.

This seems to happen when you use version from before the branch.
Before I submit a bug I want to make sure this is really an error.

Steps to reproduce:

1. From a trunk with some history create a branch.
2. From the branch (within the Repository view) select a file with some
history and show the history on the file.
3. In the History view select two versions of the file (at least one of
them being from before the branch.) From the popup menu select "Compare
with Each Other". A "Compare operation failed" error will appear because
it tries to pull the pre-branch version of the file from the branch.

Is this sort of expected? Is anybody else seeing this?
