Content Assist Key Binding + Emacs Mode [message #136963] Sun, 30 January 2005 21:57 Go to next message

I'm running Eclipse 3.0.1 with CDT 2.1.0 and I use the Emacs mode
key-binding definition. The CDT binds the "Content Assist" action to
the "Ctrl + Space" key sequence, which is the Emacs bind for "Set Mark".

To get the Emacs behavior back, I've gone into my Eclipse Preferences ->
Workbench -> Keys panel and removed the "Content Assist" binding (big
red X next to it + labeled unnassinged). However, "Ctrl + Space" still
brings up the "Content Assist" context menu in my C/C++ Editor windows.
The "Content Assist" item in the "Edit" menu also shows the "Ctrl +
Space" binding. Is this hardcoded someplace? Am I missing something?

I've discovered that this was already PRed at:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=69157

No fix yet.
