Hi.. I'm very new to Eclipse and Java. There exists a file
java.policy.applet, and it says to not edit this file, but I can't figure
out how the Java security policy is controlled by the Eclipse/JDT Platform,
nor can I find any documentation related to this file.

Esentially my problem is this.. I'm building a Java Applet, which has
specific security constraints, but when I run my applet within the Java
Applet configuration, it runs without any security constraints. I would
prefer if the compiler or JDT environment informed me that I'm doing actions
that could violate the security, but more importantly, I want to be able to
debug the application in such a way that I can easily debug what aspects of
the program are violating the security policy.

How do I setup the JDT environment to do this?

Thanks, Ian
