Hi,
Is there any way to extract data straight into a CSV file, when pulling a
report, without using the viewer? I'm doubtful that there is from what I've
read so do you guy's think it will be possible in any future version's of
BIRT?

I would also be VERY interested to know if there is a way to generate a
CSV file while avoiding the viewer. As lovely as the viewer is, I have a
project and part of the requirement is that users can obtain reports in
CSV format by clicking on a link, just like one can do for report
generation in HTML and pdf.

Thanks,
Sarah

Same here. It propably means implementing an emitter for it, which is
strange that was not done. Current implementation seems to be strictly
for the viewer applet and javascript.
