I'm not sure if we're thinking of different things with regard to
release notes, or maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. I can
see various postings to the mailing list announcing the availability of
different RC candidates, together with some information about key
defects fixes and functionality, but nothing that summarises all of the
defects fixed and the new functionality introduced for that specific
release.
For example, the posting announcing CDT RC5 includes the line "There
were 100 changes since RC4". Where do I find a summary of these
changes? It sounds like something that might involve a query of the
Bugzilla database, but the data to distinguish between RC's doesn't seem
to be present... Or is it?
