I noticed that the JDT uses xml in its .classpath file, and Eclipse in
general uses xml in its .project files. Is their an easy way for me to
use xml in my tools project files? Does anyone know off hand before I
spend an eternity pouring through the jdt sourcecode?

Thanks a million!

See javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilder in the org.apache.xerces plugin.
