Mobile browser support and global scrollbars [message #1273028] Wed, 19 March 2014 06:40 Go to next message

Hi,

From what I know the only way to have a vertically scrollable application is to:
* Create a maximized shell
* Use a scrolled composite as main control.

However this generates an HTML that is not very mobile browser friendly.
Most mobile browsers track the page scrolling position to hide the browser address bar in order to clear some space for the web site content.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=355852 seems to be related to that.

Is there some plan to implement this soon?

Regards,
-Seb

Hi.

For 2.3 this is out of the question. But I would consider it for our
winter release, considering that the bug has a couple of votes.
Obviously I can't promise anything right now.

Greetings,
Tim
