After installing the Eclipse SDK v3.2 which is released today,I find there's VE 1.2 RC1 instead of stable version available in the Callisto Discovery Site. But VE 1.2 stable installation package is already released in the VE website.
It looks like some mistakes in the Callisto configuration, doesn't it?

Eclipse and their projects no longer rename all plugins and features on
every release. Instead they are renamed when they changed. If they
haven't changed then they keep the same name. In addition, also note the
funny characters at the end of the feature versions. These are changed
whenever any plugin in the feature has changed, but the feature xml
itself has not changed.
So you do have the actual release version of VE on Callisto.

Like Rich said, the version numbers of the individual features/plug-ins
reflect the last time that file needed to be changed. If you look in
your plug-ins directory, you'll see org.eclipse.ve plug-ins with RC1,
RC3, and the org.eclipse.ve.swt plugin is not tagged with an RC - it was
built 20060628 - the last plug-in that had changes for the 1.2 release.
These all make up the VE 1.2, stable, final release.
