"Hello World\n",

i have installed cde and mingw (i also tried using cygwin, but this
did not work with sdl (libsdl.org)).
When i try to compile my project i get the following output on the console:

**** Incremental build of configuration Debug for project Viewer ****

make -k all
0 [main] make 4068 handle_exceptions: Exception:
STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION
444 [main] make 4068 open_stackdumpfile: Dumping stack trace to
make.exe.stackdump
Build complete for project Viewer

when i execute "make -k all" from the command line (cmd) everything works
fine.

Florian

Florian,
Are running the make that ships as part of Mingw or the make that ships
with Msys? I have seen the type of problem you are describing when using
the Win32 variant of make in the CMD shell. I have had little success
with that combination, so I would strongly suggest getting Msys if you
plan on doing a lot of work with Mingw and CDT.

Alas, Sean. This feature works on Cygwin also. I cannot reliably reproduce
the error. Sometimes restarting Eclipse does the trick, sometimes I even had
to reboot my machine.

Yes, i'm using Mingw with Msys and the make command is called from the
Msys/bin directory. In MinGW/bin the make command is named mingw32-make.exe

I have the same experience. Closing and reopening Eclipse is always the
solution for me.

I have the problem when i switch the build configurations from debug to
release.

I use msys.

I had the same problem with both of them. mingw32-make.exe and make.exe in
msys/bin.

I recompiled make-3.80.1 from its sources. And now i have no problem.

Heureka! Today i also fixed the problem!!!!!!
My installation is mingw and msys.
- i renamed the make.exe from msys/bin to make.exe.old (removed it)
- then i copied mingw/bin/mingw32-make.exe to mingw/bin/make.exe

and it works....

Thank you for your inspiration!!! :o)
