Create a diagram from an existing uml file [message #1249174] Mon, 17 February 2014 21:35 Go to next message

Reading https://wiki.eclipse.org/Papyrus_User_Guide, I should be getting a whole set of 'initialize' options when I right-click on a .uml file - but I'm not seeing it anywhere.

Perhaps the screenshot is outdated and the functionality was moved elsewhere?

I should note that I'm working with Eclipse 3.7, Papyrus 0.8.2. Perhaps things have changed in this regard since.

Hi,

Some parts of the user guide have not been updated for a while.

On the current version (>= 0.8.x), you need to right click on a UML File, then select New > Other... > Papyrus Model

This will open the Papyrus Model wizard, but instead of creating a whole new model, it will only initialize the diagrams, and reuse the selected UML model.

Regards,
Camille
