NetBeans integrated in Eclipse? [message #12233] Tue, 06 January 2004 14:07
Eclipse UserFriend
The NetBeans IDE has highly advanced J2EE support. Although it maybe GPL
licensed, I think it should be possible to get it CPL licensed, and
transform it into a feature for eclipse.

There are some factors which should be dealt with, but searching to some
information of the "handyman" James Gosling learns that they do not see
why they should be kept apart, I think, in my opinion, it would be a great
course to finally combine the powers of these two Java parties.

If this is not possible, it is still my opinion that we shouldn't ignore
them, but rather join forces with them, because both projects have the
same target area's.

Greetings,
Sjoerd van Leent
