Compare With/Replace With bug in nightly build? [message #1212003]

Some time pretty recently the nightly build of EGIt stopped supporting git options in the Compare With and Replace With right-click menu items when invoked from an editor window. All they list now are the local history options.

To get to git options I now have to right-click the file listing in the Package Explorer.

Was this by design or is it a bug? If by design, what was the rationale for removing this very convenient feature?

yes, we reverted the commits which broke this

until platform has fixed the underlying problem
