I am trying to figure out which keys will allow me to select the entire
line instead of just next or previous element. I am trying to set up my
editor to emulate brief editor commands. And one of my favorite brief
commands is to select the entire line or a block of lines without using
the mouse. In brief it was Alt + L for selecting the line or Alt + M to
mark a block of lines.

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks,
Dave Hatz

I don't think there is an explicit "Select current line" command to bind
a keyboard shortcut to (you can double-check under Preferences |General
| Keys), but you can use a sequence of Home, Shift+UpArrow/DownArrow
